Driver Jbl 2426j

I have just got my hands on some speakers and they have got 2 huge old alloy horns with jbl 2426j compression drivers fitted i have tested them and only one of them works the other one needs a new diaphragm. I want to run the 2 compression drivers on there own small 2 channel amp. I belive they are 16ohm all the diaphragms i have found that are 2426j are 16ohm what would be better to buy one new 16ohm diaphragm or buy 2 new ones and make them 8ohm?
