Hello friends! Already several times appeared here question, how to link Condor NMEA data with some PNA, (as is example MIO, HP314, etc.) with some frequently used flight computer software as is,, etc. I am pleased that now I can offer you an elegant solution to this problem. This solution is called Through this cable your PNA can receive a NMEA data, when you fly with Condor Soaring Simulator. Standard serial port on PC is not needed!

It's really great when you can train work with your favorite navigation program and flight strategy at home, with no additional cost for real flight hours! Our cable allow you this anytime! Conected PNA is powered and charged via this cable from PC! A question: I see the hp3XX is compatible. I am curious how you overcame the power requirements since the 3xx draws around 750mA while running, which is well over 500mA ( the maximum available through a single 5v USB pin), which is the reason it is brighter than competing PNA's. If only 500mA is going into the 3xx though, it will continue to consume it's internal battery and only lasts a few hours, despite being plugged in unless your cable is providing additional voltage on pins 2 and 3 (the hp charger puts out 3.2v at these pins to provide the additional amperage) Anyhow, excellent product.
Even if it won't work entirely correctly with the hp3xx, a Mio or any number of other PNA options are readily available cheap enough to switch over that this cable makes it worthwhile. My previous experience with BT connecting was less then ideal. I will confess without torture - I was not available HP3xx to test durability of operation time HP3xx I thought that for the fully charged device is power from the PC sufficient I should get your cable and try it out with different settings, since a thing I hadn't really considered until now is that the 3xx doesn't need to be at full brightness using it with Condor since it is indoors.
The backlight can be adjusted way down and it is still highly visible, and in fact nicer to use dimmer indoors since at full brightness is brighter than most monitors. Worst case scenario is that I buy a different PNA to attach to your fine cable.
^_^ -Paul ps. Nice touch with the rt angle cord. Any chances of a down-angled version? (makes cord cleanly disappear to rear of some PNA's). I have been flying condor for years without the help of a PDA or PNA but I want to give it a try. I have seen in this topic a cable to connect an USB port to the USB port in the PNA.
Virtual Music Jukebox 7 Serial. The computer that I use for condor has USB ports and a serial port. My question is then, do I need that USB to USB cable? Or will a cable with serial connector (DB9) in one end and USB in the other be sufficient? Of course I may need the female to male adaptor, but again, could connecting to a PNA (I have a MIO) be that easy? Of course I may need the female to male adaptor, but again, could connecting to a PNA (I have a MIO) be that easy? No, there would be additional hardware required: -A voltage level converter to convert the +/- 12V signals from the PC's serial port to the 3.3V/0V signals the PNA needs. -A special / modified mini USB cable. This is because one of the pins of the mini USB connector is used to tell the PNA that the signal on the USB port is TTL serial and not USB.
