All the dvd apps in the app store cost more than most dvds anyway, and then I have to sign in with an account, put in my credit card info. Gone are the days when you could just pop a dvd into the disc drive and watch the movie. I just can't believe how un-user-friendly this is. Playing dvds from your already over-priced computer should be free AND easy. This seems like common sense to me. Update: This is worse than I thought it would be. It only worked for one movie.

Well, guess what it still doesn't work. Remember when we used to buy a computer and if it had a dvd player it played dvds. Why should we have to pay $15 for software to do something that weve already purchased the hardware for. Shouldn't the hardware cover the cost of the software. I hope the designers of this software live long and happy lives because there is a special place in hell for them to spend the rest of eternity. You could get a free Windows Media Player that played DVDs going back to NT 4.0.
My 2016 $800 brand new PC with WIN 10 does not come with the ability to play movies? July of 2015 review responses from uSoft said there was some legal reason they were not including DVD movie capability.
6 months later, they are selling the app for $14.99. Win 10 does make it really easy and convenient for you to go to their app store and buy things. No wonder they were offering WIN 10 as a free upgrade for WIN7 and WIN8 users.
It is not worth $15, it would not be worth the storage space it requires even if it were free. Not to mention that its something that ought to be included in the default software. Once I hit fast forward, the only way to make it play at normal speed was to click one of the chapter controls. How do you design a dvd player that cannot stop fast forwarding or rewinding without doing that?
Clicking rewind while in fast forward starts backing up. There is literally no middle ground. Hitting stop resets your progress as well.
Are you kidding me? Its a paltry few issues but I fiddled with it for all of two minutes before getting too frustrated to continue.
